Star Wars: The Last Jedi (also known as Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi) is an upcoming American epic space opera film written and directed by Rian Johnson. It is the second film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, following Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). The film is produced by Lucasfilm and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis in returning roles. New cast members include Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran in unconfirmed roles. Fisher died in December 2016, making The Last Jedi her final film role.

The film was announced after Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in October 2012. It is produced by Ram Bergman and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. John Williams, composer for the previous seven films, returns to compose the score. Scenes that required shooting at Skellig Michael in Ireland were filmed during pre-production in September 2015, with principal photography beginning at Pinewood Studios in England in February 2016 and ending in July 2016. The Last Jedi is scheduled for release on December 15, 2017. A sequel, Star Wars: Episode IX, is scheduled for 2019.

Like many Star Wars fans, we hopefully waited for years to watch Disney take Star Wars to next level and reveal who Rey’s parents were, who Snoke was, and just how awesome Luke Skywalker was going to be now. And like many Star Wars fans, we were sadly disappointed by this film because it vaguely answered those questions and ruined Luke Skywalker.

We could write a book about all the things wrong with The Last Jedi and why it was a really bad movie. Instead we wrote an article about issues with the film and where it went wrong and expand on that article here in this video.

Why Darth Vader Did Not Like The Emperor Guards – Star Wars Explained

Darth Vader (birth name Anakin Skywalker) is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Darth Vader appears in the original Star Wars trilogy as a pivotal antagonist serving the Galactic Empire, while his past as Anakin Skywalker and the story of his corruption are the focus of the prequel Star Wars trilogy.

Darth Vader was created by George Lucas and has been portrayed by numerous actors. His appearances span the first six Star Wars films, as well as Rogue One, and his character is referenced in both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. He is also an important character in the Star Wars expanded universe of television series, video games, novels, literature, and comic books. Originally a Jedi prophesied to bring balance to the Force, Anakin Skywalker is lured to the dark side of the Force by Palpatine, at the time the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic and secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Anakin Skywalker then serves the Galactic Empire as Vader at the right hand of Emperor Palpatine until his redemption after encountering his son, Luke Skywalker. Anakin Skywalker is also the father of Princess Leia Organa, the secret husband of Padmé Amidala before his fall, and grandfather of Kylo Ren.
